Christmas with the Davidsons

On Christmas evening, we headed to southern Indiana. First stop- Papaw and Mamaw's for Christmas with the Davidsons. During dinner, it was all anyone could do to hold off Payton from opening presents. What torture for little kids! We finally all sat down to open gifts together. I love how Cade and Ella are patiently watching Payton here. I guess they didn't really understand they were going to get to open more gifts, too. I'm sure that will all change in the next couple years!
Everyone ripping in! Ella got her MobiGo!! Yea! She was very excited! Thanks, Mamaw and Papaw!
Opening stockings. Don't worry, Cade got his chocolate fix pretty quickly!
And Ella got a Dippin' Dots maker from Kyle, Kellie, and Payton! Thanks, guys!
Look at these two cuties!
Did I ever mention they are ENGAGED??! We are sooo happy for them!!
Great-Grandma and Grandpa Martin were there to witness the craziness, too.
The whole scene. I love pictures of the chaos!
Cade got a new Pooh book!
Ella was so excited to watch Mamaw open the new slippers she picked out for her.
Chris and his papa...
Kellie and her new Coach wallet...
Wow! Mamaw and Papaw got Cade a new ride-on motorcycle!
Taking it for a spin...
My sweet family...
The future Kyle Davidson family =) ...
Chris tried to get a picture of me and the kiddos- good luck!
Cade got spoiled with lots and lots of popsicles from Mamaw...
Payton couldn't wait to try out his new Rip Rider. That thing is so cool!!
Ella tried it out, too.
All warm and cozy and ready for bed in her new Dora snuggie. Thanks, Pam and Dave!
But then Payton decided to turn on his new Kinect and the two of them went to town!
Then she took a break for her MobiGo...
Papaw and Cade took a turn on the Kinect. I was amazed how quickly Cade was able to pick up on the idea of it.
Crazy Payton...
The three Davidson kiddos the next morning...
We had such a special time with all of you! Thanks for being so good to us!!

3-2-1, Go!

This thing really flies!

Christmas morning!

(Warning to blog readers: Get ready for picture overload! I'm trying to catch up on all these Christmas photos! =)

"Oh my goodness! Santa came!!" I love the excitement on her face!
Cade was a little more subdued...
Pillow pets!
And their very own roller coaster!! Cade got a turn first...
Then Ella was up...
Then we repeated that sequence a least fifty more times! I think it's safe to say the roller coaster was a hit! Then Ella tried out her new trampoline. Look at that air! I'm looking forward to a lot of energy being spent on that thing!
And Cade took a turn...
Next up, stockings! Whoppers! Ella's favorite!
Cade checked out the crumbs Santa left behind...
A new I-Spy game!
Looks like Cade found the chocolate...
What's in your mouth, Buddy?
A new monster truck!
And a fun sticker maker for E!
And new sparkle shoes!! "How in the world did Santa know I wanted these?!"
More chocolate!
Another present from Daddy...
And a new umbrella from Mommy. Yea! No more fighting for Big Sis' umbrella!
Ella disappeared for a minute, then showed back up in play clothes that matched her new shoes. haha! She said, "I couldn't wear my new shoes with my gown- that would be too silly!" Here she is with the gift that Cade picked out for her- her very first 100 piece puzzle!
Drum roll, please... my surprise present from Ella and Cade- a new black scarf!
And Cade is into the chocolate again! Seriously, where are his parents?!
Very proud to give a gift to Daddy...
And the very last present Ella opened was her new Play-doh ice cream maker!
Surprise of all surprises- Santa brought me an amazing new Nikon camera! Thank you, Santa!
Ella was excited for Cade to open the gift she gave him- a new magna-doodle...
And Cade's last present was his very own drill!
Ready to get to work!
Just like Daddy!
And even though these two got all these new toys, the most fun of the morning was figuring out the new roller coaster doubles as a fort!
What a wonderful morning! It's so funny how the pictures change- we tried to capture every single expression on Ella and Cade's faces, but didn't take more than a couple of each other! No worries, we were all more than spoiled this year. Chris and I are so thankful for this life and love we share. We have been truly blessed this year.

'Twas the night before Christmas...

Christmas Eve!! First we had a special Christmas dinner, "with sparking cider and candles and everything, Daddy!" I love my three sweeties! Then the kiddos changed into their Christmas jammies and cuddled up with Daddy to read How the Grinch Stole Christmas...
And listened intently while Mommy read the Christmas story...
Ella was in such a hurry to get to bed. We had planned to watch Rudolph or another Christmas show, but Ella would have none of it. She kept saying, "But, Mom, if I'm awake when Santa comes, he won't leave me any presents!" haha! We remembered at the last minute we hadn't put any cookies out for Santa! Ella was already in bed, and when I asked if she wanted to come help me put some cookies out, she said, "I don't know, Mommy, do you think we have time?" I managed to convince her that we did, so she was willing to come down to help me. Then she started to worry that maybe Santa didn't like oatmeal no-bakes. haha! It was all I could do to keep a straight face. Daddy assured her that Santa loves oatmeal no-bakes. =) We remembered to leave some cheese for Santa Mouse, too.
And even though this little girl was in bed in record time, it was another two hours before she she settled down and went to sleep so Santa could come!
