Ice cream with Papaw

These pictures are so precious, I thought they deserved their own post. Papaw and Cade shared some ice cream and just had a ball doing it. Enjoy!

More from the weekend

Cade couldn't wait to love on his buddy, Payton!
A little cousin snuggle time...
We always love water fun! Cade could keep himself entertained with this thing for hours!
Payton and Ella had to plan each water trick...
haha! Not sure if this one worked like expected or not! Looks like it was fun though!
Anyone for a popsicle?!
Cade tested out the bubble stomper...
Happy late birthday to Kellie! Ella explained everything she drew on her card...
Thumbs up for dessert!
Just a couple of sweethearts. =) We love you guys!

King's Island- Act II

The whole Davidson clan came up this weekend. The main thing on everyone's mind was a trip to King's Island and, even though we were just there on Tuesday, no way were we going to miss out on the fun! Ella was thrilled to get to go back to the park so soon. I slept for a while on Saturday and then drove up to meet everyone. The first thing Ella wanted to do once I got there was pose for a family picture in front of the big pink duck...
Then on to the big carousel...
My sweet kiddos and their sweet grandparents...
Cade enjoyed riding the horse, but he mostly just wanted to figure out how the whole thing worked. He was looking around in awe...
Mamaw and I took Ella and Cade to Snoopy on Ice. It was really good! More than anything, I wish I had a video of Cade watching the show. He was adorable! He clapped and danced and waved his arms to the music- it was the cutest thing! It was all Mamaw could do to contain him! What a great memory!
After seeing the show, Ella couldn't wait to pose for a picture with Sally...
Ella said, "Look, Mom! Payton's here!" haha!
Cade just couldn't take anymore- he was wiped out! It was pretty late by this point. The park was open until midnight and Ella and Payton were being so good, so we just kept going!
Mamaw and Papaw kept the kiddos while Kyle, Kellie, Chris, and I rode Diamondback. As we were riding and came to the top of the first hill, the fireworks started! Incredible!! We all just loved it! Thanks for that, Mamaw and Papaw! Then, while Cade slept and everyone else went to do some late-night riding, I took Ella around to all her favorites in kid's land. There were absolutely no lines. She was actually the only rider on several of them. I kept telling her, "It looks like they kept this one open just for you!" She was loving it!
Late-night snack...
We climbed on our last ride just as the clock struck midnight. What a great time! The kids just couldn't have been any better. We didn't have the first minute of whining or fussing. They were pretty tuckered out by this point though!
Ella didn't make it to the car...
And I don't think Payton made it out of the parking lot. =) Thanks for going, Everyone! We had so much fun!!

Fun in a box

Chris brought a box home from work a few days ago and you would have thought it was Christmas around here! These kiddos have had so much fun playing with that thing!
Oh no, a box monster!
Wrapping Ella up "like a present"...
Hey, Daddy, have you seen the kids?
Here we are!
Here's to appreciating the little things! Let's hope they're always so easily entertained! =)

Time to hit the beach!

The Beach Waterpark, that is. We surprised Ella with a trip there this afternoon. We had a blast! Here's just a few pictures from our day...

Kings Island!!

On Tuesday, we packed up and headed to Kings Island for some fun, fun, fun! It was so hot out, but lucky for us, it stayed cloudy almost all day. Man, am I getting old! A few years ago, I never would have given a second thought to the heat and whether or not I would be sweating all day. haha! Now, the weather is just about the first thing we check- we want to know if it's going to be torture standing around all day, because that is pretty much what we get to do at amusement parks now that we have kids- stand around! But... they have a total blast and, in turn, so do we. I absolutely treasure seeing their little faces lit up with pure joy. And we all know it's all about them, right?
Me and my girls, ready to start our day!

Lexi was excited to pose for a picture with Lucy. Ella, who has no idea who any of the Peanuts characters are, just kept asking, "Where's Dora?" Poor thing didn't want to believe that Dora wasn't there anymore.
Cade was actually able to ride quite a few more rides than we thought. He loves anything to do with cars, so, of course, he loved driving with Big Sis...
Cade waited patiently with Pappaw while the rest of us rode Woodstock Express (aka Beastie). Ella was too short for it last year, but it ended up being her favorite ride of the day- she rode it three times!
How'd you like the roller coaster, E? This cracks me up- check out Ella's perfect gymnastics hands! Her coach would be proud!
Not sure what these are called now- we still call them the Swiper cars. Cade wasn't sure if he should laugh or cry at first, but once he saw Ella having so much fun, he started squealing, too.
And this was too precious! Ella kept putting her arm around Cade, trying to let him know he didn't need to be scared...
Time for a nap!
And the baby coaster! There was absolutely no line, so they got to ride it a few times in a row. We thought it was funny that they had to have the back seat. haha! And look at those arms in the air (with perfect gymnastics hands)! You can already tell they're both going to be coaster nuts!
Ella showing her strength...
She won a little puppy that she immediately named "Arfie". Way to go, Ella! =)

Having so much fun with Daddy...
Taking a ride on the carousel...
Ella wanted Grammy to stand by her...
The scrambler!
Cade couldn't help but dance while watching a singing show. He's too adorable!
Taking a break for a quick lunch...
Then back for more fun. Riding the little trains...
And the big train...
This is pretty much where the pictures ended. We tried to ride a lot of "big people" rides for Lexi's sake, while Mom and Dad looked after the kiddos. This is also where she talked us into the log flume and we ended up totally soaked! I was glad we saved it for the end of the day!
A little snippet of Snoopy's Light Spectacular...
You know we had to splurge for some light-up toys!
And I always love seeing the tower all lit up...
It was a great day and we rocked the park till close! Lexi and Ella still pouted a little as we left, saying, "But why do we have to leave? We didn't get to ride ___!" There's always next time, girls!!
